What're the differences between graphic-design and website design and which profession must I choose?

I'm currently a senior in high-school (also taking courses in the nearby university to have forward) and need to truly have a job in certain kind of computer-based creating, but I can not select. Both Iam primarily considering are graphic-design and website design. Personally, I would rather being in graphic-design, but I notice the revenue is not that great, and that Iam not that innovative or definitive, and so Iam leaning towards website design. Iam simply not that positive, though.

Iam looking for out-class and ability needs, yearly income, and perhaps additional information about each profession. Additionally individual feedback could be wonderful, too!

Website design is virtually what it seems like- itis creating for your web, whether itis making sites or employed in applications like Flash. Additionally, you do need to be somewhat creative when creating sites, but I understand some website design majors who like the code component as opposed to the style component.

So far as revenue goes, everything depends upon what your work name is and your geographical area, just how much experience-you have. A senior developer clearly will not be producing around a senior developer or an art director. You'll have to do a number of your personal study to determine just how much a visual artist makes versus a web-designer.

Graphic-design is creating mainly for printing, with a few developing for your web (ex: advertising advertisements). In graphic-design you certainly can do numerous things such as focusing on designs for publications, making images or creating packaging for consumer products.

I'll let you know from personal knowledge that there does appear to be much more website design careers available. I majored in even though I love what I actually do, its been really difficult getting a full-time work and graphic-design, but ideally the economy can get better quickly!
